Currently, Elliott serves as the District 10 director for the Illinois Soybean Association which covers Christian, Dewitt, Macon, Moultrie, and Shelby Counties.  He serves on the Executive Committee as the Secretary and also represents the association on the Soy Transportation Coalition which was instrumental in helping deepen the Mississippi River at the Port of New Orleans which helps larger vessels make it farther up the river.

Elliott also serves as the Secretary for the Shelby County Young Leaders which help with local events including the 4-H Fair youth activities, Farm City Breakfast, and drivers education farm equipment safety day which had almost 100 kids in its first year.  After receiving several scholarships from the Shelby County Farm Bureau in high school, Elliott serves the same community that helped get him where he is today.
