One thing that can't always be seen driving past the road is fertility of the soil.  Our farm prides itself on taking the best care of every acre that is planted.  The most responsible way of doing this is by following best management practices and applying fertilizer following the "4Rs."  The "4Rs" are Right source, Right rate, Right time, and Right place.

Applying lime ensures that all nutrients in the soil are available.  Our farm has its own dump trailer to haul lime which allows us to save costs and ensure the lime is available to apply when it is needed.

The farm has also purchased a sidedress ammonia bar in order to make in crop applications of nitrogen a mainstay.  This ensures our fertility is placed in the right place and right time which increases nitrogen efficiency.
